The Live Gold Price Editor app uses a Formula-based System to calculate product prices. The formula defines how prices are calculated, giving you control over how metal prices impact your products.

The application comes with 4 pre-built formulas that you can choose from. To select your preferred formula, go to Settings → Formula.

Customization Options

  1. Reorder Fields – Customize the order in which fields are used within the formula.
  2. Field Units – Change the units of fields (e.g., Percentage vs. Fixed amount).
  3. Field Logic/Behavior – Adjust how fields interact and behave in the formula.
  4. Default Values – Set default values for specific fields to automate certain calculations.
  5. Custom Fields – Add additional custom fields to your products for more control.
  6. Compare at Price – Calculate the Compare at Price based on specific discounts.
  7. Cost per Item – Calculate the Cost per Item and automatically update it on Shopify.
  8. Custom Metal Price API – Integrate a Custom Metal Price API for more accurate pricing.
